Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long is the BLS provider class?

Most BLS provider classes run approximately three to four hours, depending on the certifying body and group size. Renewals for participants who already hold a current card typically take less time. We can confirm an exact duration based on the course selected.

  • Do I get certified the same day?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the skills evaluation and written portion, participants receive their certification card within 48-hours. The card is valid for two years, and we provide renewal reminders as the expiration date approaches.

  • Which certification should I choose: AHA, Red Cross, or Tri-State?

The appropriate credential depends on what an employer or facility accepts. American Heart Association BLS is the most commonly required in hospital settings, and American Red Cross BLS is widely accepted as well. Our Tri-State Training credential serves teams and businesses that need a recognized card. We are glad to help clients identify the correct option.

  • Can you train my whole staff at our facility?

Yes. Given a group size and location, we schedule on-site instruction that accommodates shift coverage. On-site group training is generally the most efficient way to certify an entire team at once.

  • What if I have never done CPR before?

No prior experience is required. Many participants are learning these skills for the first time. The instructor guides each step, and participants practice until they are confident in the technique.
